I began mountain bike racing in it's heydey of 1989. I spent a decade following the UCI World Cup Series as a journalist and raced all over the world on some of the sport's iconic locations, as well as all over the UK in the National Series.
In 2000 I switched primarily to road racing as well as working for many cycling publications including Cycling Weekly, Velo News and Cycling Fitness magazines.
I have been a licensed British Cycling level 3 coach for 5 years, specialising in road and time trial and Cyclo-cross. I coach a number of riders on a one-to-one basis, from novices up to UCI team elite riders, as well as a number of UK road teams.
