Novice Race Training Days at Lee Valley Velopark

Cadence Performance is running two novice race training days on the road circuit at Lee Valley Velopark on October 9th and 16th, between 1.30pm and 4.30pm.

Each session consists of two hours on the circuit covering all key aspects of road racing including bunch riding skills, individual and group cornering plus race tactics. There is then a one hour classroom based talk at the end of each session covering training theory, preparation, licensing categories race entry etc. In short, These sessions are ideal for novice riders wanting to learn all they need to know about entering their first road race, what to expect on the day and how to train and prepare for it.

Run by Huw Williams an experienced British Cycling Level 3 road and time trial coach and the Cadence Performance coaching/sports science team, these sessions both count towards Surrey League 4th cat accreditation, whereby any 4th cat or novice racer intending to race in 2017 is required to have attended two of these sessions.

We'll also be offering all attendees an InBody scan free of charge on the day. This is a highly advanced body composition analysis test that not only analyzes how much fat and muscle you have, but also measures your Total Body Water and divides it into Intracellular Water and Extracellular Water, values important when understanding your suitability to your sport. Individual results are provided in printed form with a full explanation of their meanings in a health and fitness context.

Entry is limited to 40 riders per session and details can be found on the RiderHQ website search for novice racers training (please note the revised session time is 1.30 - 4.30pm both days).
